The Challenge

The client had a block paving drive that we wanted to ensure stayed intact. After various discussions with the client, they opted for a wall-mounted Zappi charger. The Zappi charger requires no earth rod so there would be no damage to the existing block paving.

What UCS Renewables Did

UCS Renewables provided information for a variety of chargers. In this instance, we highlighted the benefits of the Zappi charger. This charger features:
  • Charging your EV using Solar PV
  • 3 charging modes: Eco, Eco + and Fast
  • Pin lock function
  • Programmable charge function
  • Tethered 7kW charging
  • No earth rod

Our client was thrilled with their new charger and left a glowing review on our Check A Trade profile.

“Excellent throughout. Fast quote, speedy installation date offered, competitive quote, excellent installers, kept up to date throughout, responsive to calls and emails. Can’t fault them”

Greenbank, Hartlepool

UCS Renewables completed surveys of the building in addition to reviewing the provided energy efficiency report, to conclude that the roof was suitable for the installation of solar modules. A proposal was approved for SMEES funding for the installation of a 38kW array on a single flat roof.

Gateshead MSCP

Our Energy team worked with the provided drawings from McNally & Thompson to compile a suitable design to maximise the use of the available space and optimise solar generation. The installation was challenging as rising energy bills created a surge for solar installations increasing the strain of the supply chain and therefore reducing availability of required materials.
