Client Background
The Challenge
UCS Renewables were identified by GAS as a local electric vehicle charger installer with specialist skills in the sector. They invited us to provide a quotation and install several EVBox dual chargers within the car park of their new headquarters in Seaham.
We also established an agreement in which we can advise our clients of the energy services GAS provide, they reciprocate by referring GAS customers requiring EV charging points to UCS Renewables.
The venture allows clients to add fully or part-funded EV chargers to their utility contract with no upfront cost.
What UCS Renewables Did
We provided a quotation for the installation of four 22kW dual charging points with additional GAS branded signage. We recommend the EVBox Businessline charger and the client opted for the light grey model.
Each charger offers two charging connection points creating a total of 8 charging locations within the car park.
The choice of an untethered model means EV drivers visiting the site can use their own charging cable specific to their vehicle. This removes the limitation of only being able to use type 1, type 2 or other connection types.
