The client contacted us to advise that their existing solar PV array had an inverter error. The installation was completed by an alternative company that had ceased trading since her installation was finalised years ago.
An interest was expressed in installing an electric vehicle charger to integrate with their existing PV solution. The client advised that they would like to use the electricity generated by their panels to power their car.
The Challenge
We had to quickly identify the source of the inverter error to advise if it was a simple fix or if the entire unit needed replacing.
What UCS Renewables Did
We discovered that the inverter fault was irreparable, we communicated with Solis to arrange a replacement 3.6kW inverter. Our engineers quickly replaced the faulty product and had the client's PV system back up and running efficiently with little downtime.
After discussing the variety of EV chargers that we are approved to install, the client opted for a 7kW Untethered Rolec Wall Pod. The Rolec integrates seamlessly with existing solar PV systems. The handy mobile app allows our clients to divert generated electricity from their solar panels to their home or EV charger.
