Client Background

Our client had browsed our online Shopify store and purchased an EO Mini 2 charger. Upon receiving the order, we contacted the client to ensure the charger was suitable for their charging requirements and proceeded to arrange installation.

What UCS Renewables Did

After confirming the location of the installation, we arranged for an engineer to travel to Luton to install the EO charger.

Prior to installation, we communicated with the client to help them apply for OLEV funding to reduce the final cost by £350! This client was eligible for OLEV funding as they met all of the designated criteria including:

  • Having an OLEV-eligible electric vehicle
  • Off-street parking
  • Installing an OLEV approved electric vehicle charger
  • Using an OLEV approved installer

This charger features untethered charging and can be controlled using your mobile to monitor electricity usage and control charging schedules. Additionally, should our client choose to install solar PV in the future, they can adapt their charger to use generated electricity to power their car!

Greenbank, Hartlepool

UCS Renewables completed surveys of the building in addition to reviewing the provided energy efficiency report, to conclude that the roof was suitable for the installation of solar modules. A proposal was approved for SMEES funding for the installation of a 38kW array on a single flat roof.

Gateshead MSCP

Our Energy team worked with the provided drawings from McNally & Thompson to compile a suitable design to maximise the use of the available space and optimise solar generation. The installation was challenging as rising energy bills created a surge for solar installations increasing the strain of the supply chain and therefore reducing availability of required materials.
