Client Background

Trident approached UCS Renewables to install solar panels as part of a programme of improvements on the Church.

The Challenge

The challenge was to install the solar panels on the church hall. The roof was made of slate and hadn’t been touched in a long time. Also, we had a time constraint as the scaffolding blocked the entrance to the contractor’s car park.

What UCS Renewables Did

UCS Renewables installed 36 x 280w black framed solar panels. Black framed panels were used as these blend in with the slate tiles.

Greenbank, Hartlepool

UCS Renewables completed surveys of the building in addition to reviewing the provided energy efficiency report, to conclude that the roof was suitable for the installation of solar modules. A proposal was approved for SMEES funding for the installation of a 38kW array on a single flat roof.

Gateshead MSCP

Our Energy team worked with the provided drawings from McNally & Thompson to compile a suitable design to maximise the use of the available space and optimise solar generation. The installation was challenging as rising energy bills created a surge for solar installations increasing the strain of the supply chain and therefore reducing availability of required materials.
